Co-incidently, I've just added a 160gb drive to my linux box, and used the existing 40gb to upgrade my son's machine he uses at Uni. I had hoped to just swop it but things went a little wrong!
As SuSE's normally excellent recovery/repair tools didn't correct it, I used Knoppix to sort it out. No sweat, no data loss, Knoppix!
