One of the world's largest calderas is Yellowstone National Park - almost
the entire park is a gigantic caldera (hence the hot springs). It erupts
every several thousand years (on average) and right now we're about 90
years or so overdue. If it did erupt, anything within 1000 miles will
probably be covered in ash...
