Synaptic also gives you this access under Settings -> Repositories.
Once I found this I thought it quite simple. Simply add "multiverse
universe" onto the end of your favorite (or only) enabled sources,
right after "main restricted"
You can also enable to sources listed above (they show up and are
disabled in Synaptic) but I don't think APT likes having the
repositories split for the same host like that. I could be wrong.
