Isn't it wonderful how every side keeps making opinion statements as if they
were self-evident truths? Anyway, I'm with Matt. I write replies for
the benefit of others
who are current with the thread. They don't need the context beyond the
subject line to remind them which thread it is. Others can go dive for context
if they want. I seldom have the time, but I will when I want to catch up on the
thread.
Interspersed is even worse in my opinion. Such postings seem to usually be
nit-picking and bickering. I almost always skip them because I don't expect
anything really interesting.
YMMV.
