I don't have recent experience with the 600E, but have been running various
flavours of Linux on my TP 600 since August 1999, all of which were
installed from CD or DVD. I think it's run all versions of Caldera
OpenLinux since 1.3, and is now running SuSE 9.2 Professional.
I have 256MB RAM in this box, about 220MB of which is available to Linux.
The only thing that isn't working right now is sound. I've had it working
on older versions of Linux, but never had any real reason to get it working
on SuSE.

The essence of all slavery consists in taking the produce of another's
labor by force. It is immaterial whether this force be founded on ownership
of the slave or ownership of the money that he must get to live on.
