Gimp backups?

   A bit of Google research confirmed that there is no "autosave" feature 
in Gimp.  Nor does it have a recovery feature should it die.

   That old WordStar saying applies well to Gimp:  Save early, save often


   I started over from scratch.  The work went faster that it did on the 
first attempt, and the results were FAR better as well!  Maybe it was good 
that Gimp crashed on me, afterall.
