[OT] Fast and Quiet Harddrive

I think the SATA drives are generally quiet, SCSI seems always to be
noisy.  I just read a review of hard drives in Maximum PC and they
liked the Western Digital Caviar WD400KD.  It was the fastest 7200RPM
drive tested (against Seagate, Maxtor and the dreaded Hitachi
DeathStar) and the quietest.  The downside was that it was a 400GB vs.
the 500GB of the rest.

My home system is an Intel BTX mobo/cpu and case with a WD 160GB hard
drive and it's very quite.  That is until I run qemu which usually
jumps my CPU utilization to over 75% and the fans kick in, the I'm in
a wind tunnel.
