anyone have a laptop where suspend-to-ram (sleep) works in linux?

I've got a wacky bug/project that I'm working that requires a laptop that
can do the following:
0) must be something still being sold as new by the OEM
1) must be capable of doing suspend-to-ram (sleep) in linux
2) must have a serial port

does anyone know of anything that meets those requirements?
