slackware 10.2 woes

The ONLY thing that caused me grief on my earlier Slac install's
where the usage of BSD init style scripts (Back when I started
using version 8.0).

Now, I have gotten to love those buggers (much simplier than Sys V
init style methods). They are kinda like having /etc/sysconfig/ and
the scripts all rolled up into one neat tidy package.

Oh well, differ strokes for differ folks ...
