The worst time I had was coming back into Pennsylvania from a race at
Mid-Ohio. I was towing with a rather ancient F-350 dualie, old enough that
it didn't have seat belts. I actually ended up bounced off the seat,
hanging onto the steering wheel and one leg in the stairwell (I installed
seat belts as soon as we got back to the shop :-).
Then there was the time my truck broke down on the turnpike, coming back
from a race. They had to tow the truck and trailer separately, and the PA
Turnpike charged the maximum toll for the trailer in addition to the toll
for the truck since there was no ticket for the trailer -- as though it
could have gotten there by itself.
