According to the QAD published _Platform Availability and Desktop
Compatibility Guide_, there are several more options for you if you
don't like RHEL3.x:
RH Linux Adv Svr 2.1 -- certified and/or supported on eB (SP4+), eB2
(All) and eB2.1 (All)
RH Linux AS/ES 3.0 -- certified and/or supported on eB (SP4+), eB2
(All) and eB2.1 (All)
RH Linux AS/ES 4.0 -- eB is not supported, eB2 and eB2.1 support is
planned or in process (no time frame noted)
SuSE Linux Ent Srv 8 -- certified and/or supported on eB (SP4+), eB2
(All) and eB2.1 (All)
SuSE Linux Ent Srv 9 -- eB not supported, eB2 and eB2.1 certified or supported
Of course that doesn't include the Windows, HPUX, AIX, Solaris and HP
Compaq Tru64 systems that are support.
In my opinion, QAD has chosen the "tried and true" vs. "latest and
greatest" for their supported Operating Systems and I have to believe
that for a company-wide ERP solution, they've chosen wisely. Just my
$0.02.
Brad.
