I remember something on the list a while ago, but this was what I came
up with. (this is some thing I won't put up with. W. Churchill?)
<I remember setups like this from the eD2.4(or was it 2.3) days. I had
one.
Please note: To remove Boot Magic, you _have_ to use the tool in
Windows.
Using fdisk /mbr or similar will not remove it from the boot sector, but
just
mess it up. I'm not exactly sure of the answer to your question, but
I'll
echo Ben by saying be careful. Have a boot disk handy. Make sure it
works.
Those that run multiple OS's here can probably correct me if I'm wrong,
but
couldn't you just have lilo written to /dev/sda's mbr and have that
control
access to all OS's without having lilo written to each drive?

I need to have a winders partition so I can use the software for my new
insulin pump. All of the hard drives I have hace caldera dr-dos MBRs
stuck on 'em and I can't seem to delete them or over write 'em. One of
the old Linux distros I used used to have Partition Magic on it and I
think I could get it removed with that? Any bosy have an answer for
me?? I'd be most thankful.
Bob
