That depends largely on how much power the holier-than-thou types have over
you (e.g. I didn't wear my F**k 'em if they can't take a joke'' T-shirt
when I going before a bunch of SCCA stewards to appeal a competition
license suspension :-).

It's been my experience that there's an direct relationship between true
intelligence and sense of humour (which may be why the people in the ``Blue
States'' seem to lack one).
