Record Locking Help ....

Anyone got any pointers, algorithms, bookmarks to, etc., on
dealing with record locking in a multi user environment when writing
a database/file manager system?

I am modifying tdb to become a multi value solution for my SLAG project.
I am also re-writing several portions of it.
