Have you created Oracle databases before or trained in the creation of data bases or
you trying to learn to use them? A raid type system / data mirroring should be used.
The partition setup of the system, backup recovery, etc all make a difference. I am
thinking about using a AMD64 myself and setup Oracle on it too. While I prefer scsi,
the price is too steep for my small operations. I will use IDE, partitipon as /u01 -
u06.
