PCI Express

Anyone here have any experience / opinion (!) about PCI Express and
Linux? We are specing a 4 channel full rate image capture system and
this is something to consider. Either one of these critters or a number
of separate PCs. The separate ones are, of course, more tested. But I
wonder how far off PCI Express is from stable happy use...
