Question Ensonig 1371 sound

  I have an ensonig 1371 sound card up and running on the 2.6.8-r3 and xfce4. Sound
was working last week, but now when the following:
 play /usr/kde/3.2/share/apps/ktuberling/sounds/en/tuberling.wav
 does as expected, just no sound.

 Changed speakers, kcontrol on sound test:

  Guess my card is bad?
Using Ensonig 1371 sound, modules built and all. Will a PCI 16 w/4.1 sound work
without rebuild the modules/kernel? I can get a PCI 16 for $20.
