Growing an xfs partition

I have 2 partitions on the end of my drive: hde11 and hde3. I deleted hde3 and
resized it to a smaller size and put it on the end of the drive. Now I have
space between hde11 and hde3. I'd like hde11 to occupy the remaining space.
However, I'm a bit unclear on how to do this. It seems that I could do
'xfs_growfs -d /home'. Will that do what I want? The man page isn't that clear
to me.
