That was a preliminary injunction issued in February of 2003. I found one more 
recent article from October 2003:

where Static Control won a favorable ruling from the US Copyright Office, but 
nothing more recent.

We'll probably all be in our graves and the technology obsolete before the 
courts make up there minds.
