OK, a little bit of clarity here. This reply came in addressed to
<me>(my personal address), <thelist>. When I press reply, I get your
personal address. I have to Reply to All to get the list.

If the addressing is reversed, i.e. <thelist>, <me>, I get the list as reply.

Which still doesn't explain the other behavior.
