gmail behavior

The only aspect about gmail that I'm not really fond of: It appears
that google is making changes under the cover with no change log.

Prior to today, after selecting a mail to view, I could either press
the browser back key or select the "back to ...." link to return to
the label queue I was viewing. Now the back key is disabled; only the
link is operational.

This also applies to composing a new mail, etc. The browser back key
is now dead.

Don't know whether that is a feature or a bug.
