anyone worked with Compaq Smart Array RAID controllers before?

Subject basically says it all.  I've got a brand spanking new HP Proliant
DL380 server with a Compaq Smart Array RAID controller.  I've got a RAID5
array with 3 drives plus a spare.

How does one manage and monitor the array from Linux (2.4.x kernel)?
