Don't feel bad, Vu ! I started from DOS as well. Although UNIX was
taught by my lecturers as well. First job, I was using HP-UX and Solaris
for mission-critical production-line work, with Windows 3.11 as my
report-writing workstation. Tried Windows NT 4 in an ISP environment a
couple years later, and was appalled at the reliability and security of
that platform. Too many late nights in the data center convinced me to
look at other alternatives. Got flamed on a Slackware mailing list, but
plugged away, until Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 (I think it was the first
Linux with a graphical installer and boot screen), when I could actually
sell the idea of Linux to my bosses.

Anyway, now I'm maintaining Solaris servers at work, but running Fedora
Core 2 on my laptop.

Oh yeah, I'm from Asia. Singapore to be exact. You know, the place that
caned/flogged Michael Fay. How is that guy anyway?
