I run linux on my home desktop linux because its stable and fun.

I'm 52.  Started with computers in the late 70's.  Had the privilege
of working with two guys that wrote their own operating system and
a CAD package that ran on an obscure minicomputer and
proprietary graphic displays that we manufactured.  Those two had
some computer savvy.  I started out building the hardware and
ended up doing sys admin and tech support until the late 80's.

Work now is using windows based industrial applications - electrical
tech type - and endless frustrations.
