qtparted / mkreiserfs question

If I partition a drive using qtparted, choosing reiserfs partitions, is
it necessary afterward to run mkreiserfs, or is this done by qtparted?

Also, FYI, I recently posted about a partitioning tool, BootIt-NG, which
I used successfully to shrink a ntfs partition and add reiserfs
partitions to my hd. Worked well on a new installation of winxp-home.
Well, I recently tried it again on the same drive after much usage
without success, so no longer use it. Ach! what a mess. The wife was a
bit put out.

Also, having just purchased Partition Magic I find it does not do
reiserfs partitions, being limited to ext2 and ext3. Ach! I should do
better research. Thus the qtparted question....

Thanks.
