What do you get from iwconfig for that interface (the wireless addition
to ifconfig)?

The only thing I have had happen on my laptop running the same SUSE was
that the order of driver loading seemed odd, making some things not
work. To see if that is it, have you tried:

	rmmod your_wireless_driver

	insmod your_wireless_driver

	dhcpcd wlan0

For wlan0 put whatever the name of the device is.
