argh, grub woes

Just upgraded my wife's laptop from FC2 to FC3, and now when i boot I
get dumped to a 'grub>' prompt that just sits there waiting for me to do
something.

Running:
root (hd0,0)
setup (hd0)

spits out what looks to be good output (no errors, everything seems to
install), however rebooting takes me back to the same point all over
again. I was using grub before the upgrade, so i'm at a bit of a loss
as to what is wrong here.

Booting with KNOPPIX shows me what also looks to be a sane
/etc/grub.conf, so i'm at a loss as to why its not booting the damn box
instead of going out to lunch every time.

There is a single ide drive in this laptop, /dev/hda where:
/dev/hda1 = /boot
/dev/hda2 = swap
/dev/hda3 = /
/dev/hda4 = win2k

Help!?
