True, it is better to have more power available than what you may use. The
better the design, the more efficient the unit. Quite is much a product of the
fans that are used. Here again the ball bearing are more quite than the cheaper
fans, while the magnetic fans are even better. The switching power supplies rarely
make noise, unless the transformer is going bad, then you will know very quickly.
A very good ps is worth every penny. I use at least 500w PS, more when they are
avail.
