keyboard problem

   On my desktop using Suse 9.0, after a few days of work on my machine something
happens to the keyboard. For some reason or by accident the inputing of data
rerquire holding the key down for 2 keystrokes, I mean the keyboard ring must go
off 2 times before the charactor is put on to the screen. The mouse works OK and
so do all other features, just have to hold the key down for two counts to do
anything. Have I inaverted set something or is there a bug in the system?
