Not neccesarily.  Some people think oracle is great until they start 
having to maintain it.

No where did I say anything about a gentoo list.  I said seraching for 
'gentoo' on metalink, oracle's official support website, which is the 
only place that you can download any oracle patchsets, in addition to 
submitting support requests, bug reports, etc.

I'm well aware of what is required to run oracle on linux.  I'm 
unfortunately responsible for maintaining several 9iR2 servers.  I 
didn't realize that this was going to become a pissing contest.
