I'm using Debian now, and like it a lot. Easy updates and configuration. 
Unstable has fairly up to date versions, and is seemingly as stable as 
most other distros. (most of the time) Debian based Libranet 2.8.1 is 
free now and upgradeable to unstable using debian sources.

What's with the hardcore GNU/Linux zealots?

I also use Slackware 10. Nice.
