xscreensaver and xorg problems

In a brief moment of lucidty, Collins Richey proclaimed:

I'm not using that chipset. I dont even build that driver ..
I rebuilt the latest opengl, and then rebuilt xscreensaver and then removed a
lot of the modes (xscreensaver rc available on request)
i found something interesting about latest x.org releases .. they
require /tmp/.ICE-unix to be root.root and 1777 before X starts up.. is your
system setup to do this?
