xscreensaver and xorg problems

Can you tell me the software versions you were using on FC2 vs. FC3,
i.e. xfree/xorg gcc glibc xscreensaver and perhaps gtk+?

When I first encountered this problem, the cure was to compile gtk+
with a particular version of gcc., but then the problem returned even
on that version of gcc/gtk+.
