Linux virus ??

The e-mail itself was allegedly written by somebody whose native language
was definitely not English, so I don't think too many people would be
fooled. I wonder if there are really enough Linux admins who are that
clueless yet.

Just heard from a friend of mine that a Linux "virus" is out (note: I have
not checked the veracity of this report).
Appears to come from RedHat as a security notice (NO distro I know sends out
e-mail security notices).
Wants you to d/l some code.
Make it executable.
Become root.
Run it.
(duh).
What it does:
add a new user (bash); presumably with UID 0 saves network information to a
file called mama spawns sshd mails mama off to wherever.
With more clueless newbies every day, Linux may start having problems with
amateur social engineering nonsense like this.
