The last sentence is probably the clincher. Java isn't worth a #%@! as
a platform independant program.
I'm not totally convinced that this is totally a font problem. Some of
the pull-down menus fail to work (no pull-down at all). There is always
the possibility that Lonnie alluded to - the source code is not really
Java but some sort of M$ crap (oops, that's redundant) that looks like
Java.
As it turns out, most of the functionality I need works (Java or no);
it's just the idiots who programmed the Assessor/Treasurer (Property
records) queries who produced poor code designed only to run on IE6.
