What is it in sendmail that you feel you must change? I have been
running sendmail here with roughly 75 customer accounts and have only ever
made ONE change to sendmail.cf.

Sendmail runs right out of the box and only need one edit to
sendmail.cf if you need it to listen to your ethernet interface.
Otherwise it only listens to the loopback address.

I also greatly dislike m4 and actually prefer to edit sendmail.cf with
vi. I don't find sendmail.cf much more cryptic than sendmail.m4.
