My laptop (hp ze4630us) loves gentoo, too. Someone else on the gentoo list has this model, and he says even the wireless works great, but I haven't the equipment to verify.

I think the originator of this thread had a screwed-up install; I used more graphic terms in an earlier post. 

I'm running 2.6.6, nptl, and latest testing version of everything (total ~x86 install).
