OK, I flopped around a bit trying to find the link I used.
I used the "Advanced Search" option in Google, selecting all 
linux-friendly pages.

I used an rpm for SuSE 8.1 which I got here:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/suse/8.1/i386/suse/i586/SoundStudio-1.0.6-305.i586.html

and other SuSE rpms here:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=SoundStudio

and what appears to be the source I downloaded here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/studio

but I did not try to compile this, but I will on Caldera.

I also saw a new version of this for the Mac and the most recent version 
seems to be commercial.
