cold water on linux

Well, this was a survey of attitudes of IS professionals
who currently use windows. What would you expect them to
say? Most can't use linux and would feel threatened by
such a switch. In my organization, they don't want you to
use linux on anything. I cannot even buy a linux laptop
to tether our digital camera, even though the laptop will
not be connected to the intranet and would save $500 over
buying a windows laptop. It's a sickness, but a very
profitable one for MS.
But, this is good news for people who invest in MS. MS
stock jumped up today, based on better than expected
profits. I believe it was Scott Adams who said the world of
the future would be powered by stupidity, an inexhaustible
resource.
