The US Supports the MS monoply, no matter what they say

I went to the Social Security web site. I want to calculate pension
benefits. In particular, my wife wants to know if cutting back on her
hours in the last couple of years of her working life will
substantially reduce her benefits.

There is a downloadable calculator which provides the most
detailed answers, but...:

There are two versions of the interactive calculator: one
works on IBM PC's and compatibles running Microsoft Windows
operating system, either Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows
ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, and the other runs under
the MacOS. (See the note below regarding Windows 95/98.) The
benefit can be computed for either a new entitlement or a
recomputation after initial entitlement. Summary results
are presented on the screen; there is an option to print out
     details of the computations.

The MacOS version of the calculator is still under
development. It has all the basic features that the Windows
version has, and produces the same results for a given
case. However, it is lacking the more advanced features of
the Windows version, such as context-sensitive help and the
ability to save setup settings from one run to another. It is
also not updated with the most recent automatic adjustments. We
hope to post updated versions as features are added.

So, after millions spent suing MS over its monoply, the US govt supports
it.

Go figure.
