Man, you are having trouble <G>. I have a Microtek Scanmaker IISP. I
simply set up the /etc/sane.d/microtek.conf file. I have scanner in my
USE flag. I have gimp-print installed and may have re merged gimp after
I put in the scanner. I did create a scanner group, added me to it,
and modified /etc/devfsd.conf.
