clueless network question

Thanks, Lonnie and Michael.  Yes, I'm a real amateur at this.  After I 
posted, I looked at one of the linux hardware sites and sho' 'nuff, 
they all work.  I got an Asante card at Fry's for 20 bucks.

Turns out that, at least temporarily, we're gonna use it with an Apple 
Airport base station configured as a bridge.  The guy that rents the 
apartment over my garage configured it with his Mac.  Doesn't look like 
a lot of support yet for the 802.11g.  I think I can do fine with 
802.11b, but it still looks a little scarey.  I'll learn a little about 
a network first and then try the wireless card later.
