The System only reports a default of 800K of "Stolen Memory" while the
bios is set for 8M. This limits me to 8bit color at 1024x768 res. I'd
like to get that up to a more reasonable number. The patches I have seen
ar all for the 2.4.18 and 19 kernels and XF4.2.0. I am at 4.4.0 and 2.6.5.
Even the Intel page is dated back a ways and the driver itself will not
function even after the provided modules are loaded. XF fails out with an
error 11.
I am wondering if there are some utils in XF86 that would help probe a bit.
I have the frame buffer stuff loaded in the kernel already.
