StarOffice: Changing the value of a cell from another cell

I seem to recall in Quatropro there was a way to change the value of a
cell based on the value in a different cell. For example, something like
this in cell A3.

=IF(A1=0;B1=Zero;B1=NotZero)

I don't think this was the syntax but you get the idea.  Is there a way
to do this in StarOffice?
