adding scsi drive to running system

Thanks to all for the input. I plugged it in and had to download the
above mentioned script and run it but it was recognized after the script
ran.
Tomorrow I will partition, format and hopefully flawlessly move the /var
partition to the new drive. After I sleep in for a bit from doing month
end tonight. Ugggh.
