Not until you mentioned it, but after putting the font size down to
lower size in mozilla it appears that the java applet doesn't take
settings from mozilla.
I think I need to find out how the system jre specifies default fonts
and then how to change it to something smaller.
I have had this problem several times with java applets and always just
accepted the bad rendering of fonts in text boxes and list boxes etc but
now think it's just a configuration issue...
after all it's open source I should have the power to change it.
