Help! Unable to get SBLive to work on RH9/Fedora

Hi all,

I have a relatively new DELL with hyperthreading. I installed RH9.0 and just
recently switched to Fedora Core 1. In either case I cannot seem to get my
SBLive card to work. Niether distro recognizes that there is a sound device.
Under WinXP (what it came with), the card worked fine.

When I try and install the module, this is what I get:

[root at gondor susan]# /sbin/modprobe emu10k1
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o:
insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o
failed
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptlsmp/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o:
nsmod emu10k1 failed

I have no idea where to go from here so any help is greatly appreciated. I
googled, but everything I found discusses how to install the modules, etc. I
don't think that this is the issue. And I have no idea how to fiddle with the
IRQ settings if this is indeed the problem (sigh).

As I said *any* help is much appreciated,

Sue
