I stalled it awhile back and it was ok.  The script wasn't bad but there
were some issues.  Mainly only one partition, /, you had to do some
tweaks after install to get sound to work, and you had to follow a set
of instructions from  the website to make it display in English, unless
you can read German, then you could set it up without the instructions. 
I have found another live cd distro, Mepis also based on Debian, that
installs to hdd much easier, IMO, and didn't have any of the issues that
Knoppix had after install.  It is still limited in partitions, though it
does allow for a /home partition as well as a /.  

Plus the install is launched right from the desktop.  I found it very
nice and easy and really love the distro itself.
