QMail, Courier-IMAP, Squirrelmail

It looks as if list mail is being delayed, this is the only list I
actually follow as in read just about every thread so... I kind of get
withdrawals...

However I have just installed a new mail server because I logged on a
few days ago and found that after a power outage many files from my home
directory were missing.... I am kind of paranoid because I had been
playing with webDAV and frontpage extensions the day before so I am
wondering if it's was caused by a hack. I downloaded and used the
chkrootkit.org app that scans for root kits but it doesn't turn up
anything. I looked at all the logs and couldn't see anything obvious
and my internet usage for the day seemed normal (no spikes at odd hours).

So now after a complete rebuild I am totally paranoid. How does one get
clamav to scan as they enter my mailbox I am using QMail and Maildir. I
want to do a user level scan (invoked from .qmail maybe) but am not sure
how to go about it.... Any thoughts would be appreciated

Regarding email I recommend anyone to convert to qmail and use maildir
and courier-imap and squirrelmail for web access.
It fixes several issues I found with mbox format
High proccessor usage while the imap server scans the flat
text file
Inability to have messages and folders in a folder

Cheers
James
