Help please

   On my laptop which was running fine untill I did an xfree update, which failed at
the time, but now has installed with no errors. I have 2 problems

1. wireless lan does not start. card ctl info is great, lsmod has prism2_cs loaded but
unused,p80211 points to prism2. now if I do the following:

/etc/init.d/wlano start <-
mosdprobe can not findmodule wlano, device wlano does not seem to be present
wlanctl-ng no such device
Error    auto join indicated error

  2 days ago this worked fine, if I put in my livecd cdrom and boot to cd image I can
connect and goe to the net just fine, the card is working.

2.   xfree will not start I get the followibg:
failed to load module bitmap module does not exiist
failed to load module pcidata module does not exiist

fatal server error

libbitmap.a & libpcidata.a are in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules

   I am useing the same XF86Cnfig that I have used for months now.

I can send any script file necessary upon request

dmesg shows no indication here at all. I can boot system up into a command consol just
find.
